In this workshop, we’ll examine the various types of Parenthood Traps and find ways to avoid them.

In der Schweiz arbeiten 4 von 5 Müttern Teilzeit oder gar nicht. Die durchschnittliche Babypause dauert 9 Jahre. Was für Auswirkungen hat das? Durchschnittlich CHF 20'000 weniger Rente pro Jahr für Frauen. Und disproportional viel Altersarmut bzw. Mütterarmut.

In diesem Workshop werden wir die verschiedenen Fallen für Mütter und Väter untersuchen und gemeinsam Wege überlegen, wie wir sie vermeiden können.

Speakers

Jackie
Bauer

Jackie is an economist in the Chief Investment Office of UBS Global Wealth Management (CIO). Within the Swiss Investment Office she is responsible for CIO's research on public policy and in particular pension systems. Her research focuses on the Swiss and international pension systems, demographic change and its implications for private and public policy planning. She also looks into investment strategies for private individuals and institutional clients in time of low interest rates and dwindling pension system stability. Jackie regularly speaks to clients and client advisors about Swiss and global economic and financial market developments, the UBS House View, retirement planning and socio economic issues.

Jackie holds a master's degree in economics and management from the University of Zürich and a bachelor's degree in international business and finance from Victoria University in Melbourne, Australia. She also studied at Sacramento State University in the US and the University of Hertfordshire in the UK. Jackie is a CFA charter holder.

Christiane
Demgenski

Christiane Demgenski is Franco-German and holds an M.A. in International Relations and Political Science from SciencesPo Paris. After 5 years of building innovative digital banking products in multiple roles at UBS, she brought her experience to Awina in 2019 as Chief Product Officer. Awina is a Swiss start-up with the mission to help families pay for daycare and to support parents, especially mothers, strike a good balance between their family and career. When she isn’t busy convincing women to invest in their future, Christiane studies her seventh language and volunteers as a firefighter.

Dr. Mike J.
Widmer

Executive search and leadership consultant. Mike Widmer started his professional career as a Project Manager and Legal Counsel at the software company BSI Business Systems Integration AG in Baden, Switzerland. Thereafter he worked as a consultant for McKinsey & Company in New Jersey, USA. In 2009, Mike returned to BSI to set up the company’s German subsidiary as Country Manager based in Frankfurt am Main. For the last 10 years he has devoted his time to executive search and leadership consulting.
He graduated from the University of Zurich, Switzerland with a Master of Law and a Ph.D. degree (“Open Source Software and Copyright”) with highest honor in 2003. This is complemented by his two-year full-time MBA at the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor (emphasis on corporate strategy, class of 2007).
